About
OOC Info
This section has two parts to it. On one side, the character and his drives are what make the story happen; while on the other, there is the player's drives and interests. This section covers the Out of Character information that you should know about the character, the player, and the expectations of people interested in playing.OOC Expectations-Players are understanding of boundaries.-Interests are communicated directly.-Story is the most important aspect to character development.-Walk-ups, tells, and direct messages are welcomed and encouraged. I can't know if you are interested in playing with my mind alone!-If you have lost interest or are losing interest, please let me know! We can't make a great scene or story without both parties being engaged.RP Expectations-The player here will only roleplay in the third person perspective and expects the same.-The scene itself should make sense. We play in a fantasy realm but let's adhere to the lore of the world.-Your character should not be a god or a master in ALL things. Everyone has flaws, nobody is perfect. Playing with these characters can get boring pretty quick.

History
Part I: Before the Calamity
History of the Ka Tribe
As was told by the great Ka storytellers to the young warriors to be, the Hipparion had always been a fierce and proud tribe of warriors. But with such courage and brawn, so too did it struggle with drama. The founding of the Ka started nearly 60 years before the cataclysmic fall of Dalamud. The Ka called it the Great Schism, which to this proud tribe, splintered the Hipparion of their great numbers. The annual hunt was a success in that year and a feast prepared for the entire village had been in its final preparations. K’nahu Nunh had been busy with finishing up roasting meat over a roaring flame while giving light chastising compliments to the fresh-of-age hunters bringing in their own smaller prizes. It was meant to be a festival of celebration and a time of reflection. The wines refilled their glasses to excess; the sounds of merriment across the tables had grown ever louder, and larger promises than they could back with their own strength filled the air. Unsurprisingly, one of the drunk men, K’pora, claimed he was stronger than K’nahu and brazenly challenged him to a fight for the status of nunh. He was an ever calculating and foolish tia, who had done little to deserve the honor of challenging the nunh—as he had evaded conflict whenever he could, while ambitious about obtaining leadership through any opportunity that arose. K’nahu had shoved off the fight, or so it's told, but after a few more glasses of wine, he agreed that they’d have their fight. Neither men were in a state capable of an honorable fight, so they agreed mid-day of the next sun that they would have their challenge observed.Later that evening, after sobering up, did K’pora realize the gravity of what he’d done. The nunh was the fiercest and most indomitable foe in the whole tribe. He knew all too well that this fight would either end on bended knee or with one’s carcass being dragged from the fight. The devious manipulator conspired that night and convinced his mother that if she was to see him live beyond the next day, she would need to disavow her allegiance to the nunh and give him an edge in combat. His mother was a great huntress in her own right, and although she had the strength in combat, she was ever more cunning. Still, she shook her head and denied her son of her aid; a seemingly foolish effort on the young man’s behalf to assume she'd betray her tribe for one. She knew he needed to learn respect and to honor the great warrior, even if it meant his harm. But come the day of the fateful tournament, K'naru had been waiting for K'pora and defend his title expertly. The crowd gathered, watching the tribal nunh challenge. The two stood poised with their spears in hand and it was clear in that moment that K'naru had the upper-hand. As they dealt sparring blows, the nunh had been able to defend without much exerted effort; while the tia had been giving more than his all and still ending up with a couple of cuts and scrapes. K'naru's desire in that fight was not to harm the tia too terribly. His confidence instilled a hubris that was well earned through the conflict. As K'naru stood poised and ready to have the tia submit, K'pora brought his spear up and sliced against the nunh's outer calf. In that same moment, as if from nowhere at all, K'naru dropped to his knee and clutched upon his neck. Later, it was determined that the one proud huntress had thought her child's lift endangered for his stupidity, concealed a blow dart out discreetly and in the moment of her son's suspected loss, she presumed his fate would have been sealed. The dart had a quick-acting poison laced on it, slowing the nunh's movements and making his breathing even more labored. His movements were slowed, and in a moment of delay, he was knocked over, weapon dispersing into the crowd, and spear pointed at him. K'pora, none the wiser of his mother's actions, took the win and claimed himself the title of nunh. But quickly, word spread of the devious act and K'naru had intended on reclaiming his title. But, K'pora and the Hipparion Elders, all too eager to see a fresh face as the nunh, declined his rematch requests. With the honor of the tribe in question, he and a band of others split and left the ancestral home, in search of a new place, finally settling in the vast highlands of Carteneau. The weather was inhospitable and sometimes, it was downright uninhabitable for a tribe of nomadic miqo'te. But seeing themselves distinguished from the Hipparions that retained the proper tribe, K'naru became Ka'naru, the first nunh of the Ka Hipparion tribe.Ka'naru's status as tribal leader and nunh was unquestioned for almost fifteen years. While Ka'naru remained the leader of the tribe, the strength from one had bested Ka'naru in combat. Ka'zerrh is the only nunh in the history of the tribe to lack the one distinctive trait of all future generations, the purple hue of their hair. His blood gave rise to a modest number of the future generation for another 19 years, before Ka'shyr overtook the mantle as leader and nunh of the tribe as a whole. Unfortunately, Ka'shyr's life was ended in a hunting accident 8 years later. A struggle of reign happened for a couple of years, destabilizing the tribal harmony as a whole. Amidst this turbulent time Ka'shan stepped forward—barely of age at this time—and secured the title by combat, and a display of superior huntsmanship. Long he stayed at the apex of the Ka Tribe leadership, until the tribe's fate was cast.
Ka'haru, the tribal youthKa'haru was born towards the end of a particularlu brutal summer. While crops and high-quality meat were often hard to come by in most years, the heat, lack of rain, and the oppressive sun made for a difficult year for expectant mothers and hunters. Surprise came to the village as the result of their toiling efforts to fruition, only to be a short-lived moment of triumph. The child born was small and unlikely to survive the winter. As such, this infant was not given a name, at first. Despite the odds, the child's smile brought warmth to the coldest days and as spring started to bare itself, the tribe gave him the name Ka'haru.Unfortunately, being of a small tribe, being considered too frail to play with the older and larger children, and being left to his own designs for much of the days when the tribe was on a hunt, the young seeker took it upon himself to devise little traps and whittle tools for the tribe to use (frequently making arrows and spears from the things he could scavenge). He knew he was not allowed to do things like the rest of his tribe, but he still desired to be of some use. After a certain age, he started attempting to learn how to use a bow to mediocre success and could never get enough strength to make a spear any more useful than a baton.
